Fete de la lavande en Pays d'Apt

Where would Provence be without it’s lavender? What would our wardrobes be like without lavender? Where would the perfumers be without lavender fragrance? Where would artists be without the challenge of reproducing the lavender colour?

We do not know why the sky-blue is jealous of the lavender blue, or is it the other way around! But what we can be certain of, is what this mythical plant adds to our landscape. Lavender has been grown on our lands since Antiquity.  Lavender essence combines the capacity to perfume, to heal, to brighten up and to calm. It’s flowers, so delicate, mix the pinks of daybreak, the reds of a sunset and the greens of almond trees.

Lavender draws on the Provençal earth, an ideal picture of a joyful, welcoming, generous earth, awakening our senses in an intoxicating whirlwind of perfume, of colour and with delight.

Blatancy of Nature, beauty oil

Skin balm, sheets exhale,

Blue of sensual pleasure, heady fragrances,

Perfumed land, all senses on alert…….…

To live fully, without restraint
